Teresita Quintos Deles, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process announced that Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis and actor hunk Gerald Anderson with singer Apl. de Ap of Black Eyed Peas will be the National Peace Ambassadors for the campaign "I Am for Peace".
Coming from diverse industries and backgrounds, the Peace Ambassadors will unite for one meaningful cause: peace,” Deles said.
President Noynoy Aquino will appoint them and other chosen personalities in today’s launch.
“I AM FOR PEACE” campaign seeks to mobilize public participation for peace by engaging Filipinos coming from various backgrounds. Through this peace campaign, OPAPP hopes to broaden the peace constituency by harnessing and empowering basic sectors such as the youth, women, labor, civil society organizations, and media as advocates for peace and development. It also serves as a reminder that together, we can make a difference.
