Derrick Monasterio : Ambassador of National Youth Comission

Last August 19, Derrick Monasterio, a certified Kapuso tween actor launched him as at Party Pilipinas as the new ambassador for National Youth Commission, also known as the NYC, a government agency in the Philippines that specifically addresses issues surrounding the Filipino youth. It was founded on June 30, 1995, via Republic Act 8044 or the Youth in Nation-Building Act.

Monasterio signed the contract last August 16 together with NYC Commission Earl P. Saavedra.

According to Derrick,
“Nakakatuwa naman po na ako ang napili nila out of the many young actors ngayon na puwede namang maging youth advocate din. (I'm really happy that they chose me as a Youth Advocate even though their are many young actors today)
According to Commission Saavedra,
“We know that Derrick's character is definitely a good image of a typical Filipino youth."He is an example of somebody who shows to the young how they must conduct themselves.
Jolina Magdangal and Dingdong Dantes are former NYC Advocates.  It can be found at NYC Main Office  4th Floor, Bookman Building, 373 Quezon Avenue, Quezon City
